San Diego, Part 2

Saturday night we had a beach picnic with the tablecloth and drinks from the wedding. That was a really nice thought, thanks Mom and Papa! I didn't actually get to sit down and drink the Apple Beer, so it was nice to taste it a year later!
Adam thought I was crazy when I packed real plates and silverware. We ended up eating out of the takeout containers. But I used a real fork!

He thought I was even crazier when he found out I'd brought two cameras. Plus my iPhone. Pictures of pictures, Beck style!
Sunday morning we went to the aquarium in La Jolla. Turns out the first full weekend of the month, Bank of America members get in for free! First time being a B of A customer has paid off. It was small, but really nice.
This little guy was one of my favorites. He kept stumbling along the glass. I don't know what it is, or even if it can swim, but it was using its orange spiney things to "walk" back and forth.

Some aquarium tanks are like little jewel boxes.
Juvenile jellies!
Adam said this fish was me...

The ugly fish are always the most interesting.
Can you see the two fish? Adam and me, in 60 years.

I wish I could get a better shot of this guy. He was a zebra puffer or something. It kept looking like he was looking at us, and would move its lips back to reveal what really looked like nice straight rows of teeth. He was my other favorite!

Mollusks. Can you see the face.
Shark baby in an egg pouch! Can you see its body curled up like a U? The dark circle towards the bottom was in all of the pouches. Not part of the shark body, I don't think.

Fascinated!
